Climate Change
The climate of the earth is constantly changing. This was due to natural causes in the past, but now climate change generally refers to changes in the climate as a result of human behavior.
The greenhouse effect has a large impact on climate change, as it relates to the gases which keep the earth warm. The extra greenhouse gases emitted by human behavior pose a threat on the environment, and this has a lasting effect on the changing climate.
The impacts of climate change are substantial, with an increase in precipitation and sea levels rising, leading to more floods, and changing temperatures. This affects both humans and animals.
Al Gore
Former Vice President Al Gore has played an important role in the fight against climate change and global warming. Al Gore is a prominent environmental activist and was awarded the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for his work in highlighting Climate Change.
He is the author of An Inconvenient Truth, with the film receiving two Academy Awards in 2007. His actions have highlighted the immense problems facing our planet, and the affects that global warming will have on us all.
