The European Directive covering the production of Energy Performance Certificates for buildings was extended on 30th December 2008 to include all Commercial (Non-Domestic) premises being marketed ‘For Sale' or ‘To Rent' in Northern Ireland.

This requires all commercial landlords and property owners to provide an energy rating and potential energy rating to any interested party as an Energy Performance Certificate (together with the accompanying Recommendation Report). This information must be available at the outset to avoid the possibility of severe financial penalties in the form of fines which can be up to £5,000.

EPCni has a team of specialised Non-Domestic assessors who are fully qualified and accredited to carry out such work.

As there is considerable variation between commercial premises including their use, size, definition, zoning and the way in which they are heated and cooled, EPCni will provide a no obligation written quotation in all cases before carrying out assessments to make sure there are no misunderstandings and to complete our audit trail.

If you need an EPC for your commercial premises please email michael@epcni.com with details of your request and we will respond immediately.

The commercial market is ‘challenging' at the moment (to say the least) don't let your sale or lease deal fall through by not having your EPC in place. Contact us now.
