Thermal Consultancy, Northern Irelands premier Thermal Imaging Solutions company were recently asked to image Stormont and other landmark buildings as part of Energy Week on behalf of UTV.
Although not a fully comprehensive heat loss survey, Stormont was still seen to be emanating heat through the roof and certain windows. This comes after a £30 million pound refurbishment of Stormont.
"We look forward to the opportunity to intensively survey Parliament Buildings, this will show where heat is escaping and then we can assist in the move towards measures to improve efficiency."
"After conducting many surveys on both residential and commercial properties we have found that small measures can make a big difference. Missing Insulation and improper sealing of windows tend to be the main reasons for heat loss," says Aaron Everitt of Thermal Consultancy. "These faults often go unnoticed but show up clearly with a Thermal Inspection."
